Hello,

I had to write a little note just to say that Faith is definitely an inspiration to everyone.  Last night my daughter's family dog who is 8 and named Sammy got out of the fenced in yard by a pure fluke accident with the new puppy Alex; before my 12 year old grandson could get Sammy he was hit by a car on a very busy street at rush hour; needless, to say the family was heart broken and we took Sammy to the hospital where he will under go an amputation of his left leg today.  My family is not wealthy but we would have chipped in if need be to save him anyway possible.  Faith is sure lucky to have the family she has as well as the family is lucky to have such a great sign of what life is worth.  I have seen Faith before on T.V. and had told my family about her last night.  You all can be proud and I am sure she is inspiring to the vets and not because she is an amputee necessarily but because she is a dog that loves and justs wants to be loved also.  I started tearing up watching the videos but your son and his friend were right to save the puppy from the mother; when I was a child I actually saw a mother dog terminate and get rid of one of her puppies and have never forgotten it.  Thank you for showing people to have patience to help and teach an animal that has been hurt and just to love them.  You know, I am sure it was difficult at least at first to try and get Faith to do things but you all seemed determined and determination does a lot and that is what you taught her; she could do anything if she was determined enough to do it and she was.  You have a great family and you must be truly blessed by St.Francis.
